Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to sessions booked through the Yi Yan English platform. All sessions are booked and charged individually — there are no subscription plans. Session pricing is set by Yi Yan English and displayed clearly at the time of booking.

Refund eligibility depends on who cancelled, and how much notice was given, as set out in the table below.

2. Teacher Session Refunds

3. AI Practice

AI practice is included as part of your platform access and is not separately charged. If a technical error on our platform causes an AI session to fail before completion, contact support and we will restore access within 24 hours.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email support@yiyanenglish.com with subject line "Refund Request".
  2. Include your registered email address, the date of the charge, and the reason for your request.
  3. For session refunds, include the session ID (found in your Bookings page).

Requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the charge or session date.

5. Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days. Funds are returned to the original payment method:

  • WeChat Pay / Alipay: Typically 1–3 business days after approval.
  • Bank card (Stripe): Typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
